HOW TO EASILY MOTIVATE OTHERS
Have you ever tried motivating someone or a group of people and end up with that feeling of achieving little or nothing? Then this post is for you.
Simply follow this three(3) easy steps:
1. Start with the man in the mirror.
Imagine you holding a candle in one hand and a lighter or match box in the other, for the candle to serve as a source of light in the darkness, flame must first be generated by the lighter or match box before it can then be transferred to the candle
You are the man in th mirror, you are the match box while the person you are trying to moltivate is the candle. I would simply define motivation as the transfer of light, hope, andjoy from one person to another.
You cannot give what you don't have, how can you successfully motivate others when you can't even motivate yourself? Locate those words, memories or whatever positive thing that gives you reason(s) to believe. Once you are moltivated, the way you speak, your facial expression would be different, you would speak with more passion. You might not notice it but your listeners would sense and feel that burning flame within you that they are lacking.
2. So much depends on physical evidence:
It is one thing to say something and another thing to look like it. Assume a young man dressed in torn and faded clothes is trying to convince you to venture into a business that he is into and considers very lucreative, what would come to your mind first? If the business is as good as he says then why is it not reflecting in his appearance?
Although the business might trully be lucreative, you would agree that his appearance tells the opposite. When trying to motivate someone to do or believe in a thing, physical evidence could be vital.
3. Go straight to the point:
Avoid talking excessively. When you talk at lenght, sometimes it bore your listener(s) and make them lose interest in whatever you have to say. Be precise, go straight to the point, address the issue before you and never forget that when you talk excessively the chances of saying something stupid or contradicting increases.
